Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Lisan AI ("we", "us") collects when you use our video-to-Arabic AI dubbing service, and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, and your credit balance and purchase history.
• Your content: the video/audio files you upload, the transcripts, translations, and generated Arabic audio/video produced from them.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — only the transaction result (amount, date, credits granted).
• Basic technical data: standard web request data (such as IP address and browser type) generated automatically when you use the site, used only for security and troubleshooting.

Optional picture analysis

For video projects you can let us also look at the picture, so that we can tell the speakers apart more reliably and spot names shown on screen. You can switch this off before you accept the estimate. For this step a copy of your video without sound is processed by our AI provider. We never use the picture to recognise or identify anyone, and a voice or gender you choose yourself is never changed. Temporary copies are deleted when processing finishes.

How we use your information

• To provide the dubbing service: transcription, translation, voice generation, and video merging.
• To manage your account, credit balance, and purchases.
• To communicate with you about your account or support requests.
• To maintain and improve the reliability and security of the service.

We do not sell or share your content with third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

How long we keep your content

Different things are kept for different times. The rules below are the same everywhere on the site.

• Short dubs: your upload and working files. Your original upload and any in-progress working files (draft audio segments, temporary mixes) are automatically deleted from our servers after approximately 6 hours.
• Dub Long Video: uploads not yet approved. An upload that you have not approved for dubbing, and a job that failed or was cancelled, is removed after about 24 hours.
• Dub Long Video: a project you are reviewing. Your text (lines, translations, times) is saved as you work. If you leave a project alone for about 24 hours, its video is taken off our servers and only the text stays; you attach the same file again when you are ready to dub. A saved project that nobody opens for 90 days is deleted.
• Dub Long Video: voices copied for corrections. The voice copied from each speaker is temporary and is never added to your saved voices. After a long dub is finished it is kept only so that you can correct single lines at a low price. It is deleted when you press "Finish corrections", or after the voice-retention period shown in the project, counted from your last correction use (from the finished dub if you never corrected it), whichever comes first. Each correction that uses the voices starts that retention period again; only opening the page does not. They are also deleted when a job fails or when you delete the project.
• Dub Long Video: short voice samples and the background sound. A few short samples of each voice and the project's background sound stay with the finished project so that corrections are possible. They are deleted when the project is deleted.
• Finished results — the generated audio and, if you merge or lip-sync it, the generated video — depend on how you're paying: if you have an active monthly subscription, they are kept for up to 30 days so you can come back and download or delete them from your Account page, and we'll email you a reminder a few days before that automatic deletion happens; if you paid with a one-time credit purchase (or haven't purchased anything), they are kept for only 48 hours instead, with no separate reminder email, so please download what you want to keep promptly. Either way, deleting a file from your Account page removes it immediately, together with its copy in our backup storage. The button "Delete all my files now" on the same page does this for all of your finished files, working files and Dub Long Video projects at once; your account, credits, purchase history and saved voices are not affected.
• Voices you save yourself (monthly plans) stay until you delete them from your Account page.
• Your account email, credit balance, and purchase history are kept for as long as your account exists.

Third-party services we use

To provide the service, parts of your data are processed by these providers, each under their own privacy policy:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Supabase — account authentication and database hosting.
• Google — "Sign in with Google" authentication.
• AI provider — used for translation, tashkeel and emotion detection, and to tell the speakers apart; it receives the text and voices of your project and, for the picture checks described above, parts of the picture.
• Voice engine provider — used for AI voice generation and cloning.
• Music provider — only when you replace removed speech with music: the background sound around that spot is used to create matching music.
• Lip-sync provider — used to generate a lip-synced video when you choose that option (an alpha feature, available for short dubs only); your uploaded video is sent to this provider for that processing only.
• Sentry — automated error monitoring so we can catch and fix bugs; receives limited technical error data, not your media content.
• Cloudflare R2 — off-site backup storage for finished dubbing outputs.
• Hosting provider — runs our servers and stores your files and projects for as long as described above.
• Email provider — sends account, job and reminder e-mails and the messages of the contact form (your e-mail address and the message).
• Visit statistics service — only when switched on: counts visits to our public pages; it never receives your files.

Voice data & cloning

If you use voice cloning, the reference audio and the resulting cloned voice model are treated as biometric data. They're used only to generate your dubbing. Temporary cloned voices are removed automatically rather than kept around indefinitely (for Dub Long Video, exactly as described under "How long we keep your content"), and the isolated reference recording of a short dub is deleted once your project resets or a new one starts. Only voices that you choose to save on your Account page (monthly plans) are kept until you delete them.

Faces in your video

To give each line to the right speaker and choose a fitting voice, we check in your video who is speaking. For a few lines, a small picture of the speaker's face is processed by our AI provider only to tell whether a male or a female voice fits. We never recognise or identify anyone and keep no pictures of faces; these small pictures are deleted right after use. A gender you choose yourself is never changed.

Cookies & local storage

We use essential cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your in-progress project. We do not use advertising cookies. When visit statistics are switched on, our public pages (not your account or your projects) also set cookies of a statistics service to count visits.

Data security

Connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS), and access to account and payment data is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us below. Deleting your account removes your stored account data; already-processed media is deleted automatically as described above regardless.

Children's privacy

Lisan AI is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
